Selected anchovies, fished in the Mediterranean Sea and manually prepared in Sicily within 12 hours. Preserved with extra virgin olive oil and placed in glass contenitors.

Using Tips: The anchovies preserved in oil are excellent to enrich several typical Sicilian recipes or as topping for pizza or panini. They are also a tasty apetizer to taste together with freshly made bread, local cheese and salami. 

Weight: 160 gr  Drained Weight: 90 gr Area of Origin: Agrigento Province - Sicily Ingredients: anchovies, extra vrigin olive oil 43%, salt. Appereance: pink - redish uniform colour, fleshy texture and intense taste. Preparation: The anchovies are rinsed in brine and manually cleaned after a careful selection. They are then pressed in the brine where they remain for the ageing phase; at the end of the ageing phase the threading phase starts and the anchoves are washed, dried, cleaned out of the fishbone and the non eatable parts and placed in the dedicated contenitors.
